As described in this May 10 CSU press release, the CSU Office of the Chancellor has just published its latest economic impact report, showing just how strong of an economic, technological, social and environmental impact the CSU makes statewide.   


CSUEU President Pat Gantt delivered this letter to CSU Chancellor Reed on May 11 requesting a system-wide hiring freeze in order for laid-off employees to apply for any open positions.   


That's the opinion of Bob Linscheid, the alumni member of the CSU Board of Trustees, as explained in this informative May 9 Sacramento Bee viewpoint column.   


A group of advanced San Jose State University broadcast journalism students have posted their informative reports about an April 29 SJSU layoffs rally to CNN's iReports web site.   


In a bit of good news from Sacramento, Gov. Schwarzenegger has just renewed the commitment to higher education funding that he'd expressed back in January, when he unveiled his proposed 2010-11 state budget. As described in this April 27 report by Sacramento station KCRA-TV, he's warned lawmakers that he won't budge on his proposal to restore almost $2 billion in funding to the state's community colleges and universities, including the CSU.
