Consistent with promises made by the Chancellor’s Office that CSUEU-represented employees would not pay any more for parking fees than employees represented by CFA, CSUEU has entered into a side letter with the CSU which links parking fee increases to the percentage increase of any general salary increase. Furthermore, such increases will go into effect only if students are paying more than CSUEU-represented employees. Under no circumstances shall parking fees for CSUEU-represented staff exceed those paid by students.

  

A meeting has been scheduled for June 20th with Judge Allen to discuss a possible settlement in litigation with the Academic Professionals of California (APC).

  

California Faculty Association members have voted overwhelmingly to accept the tentative contract agreement negotiated by CFA and the CSU Administration.

  

Good news regarding compensation.

  

The state Senate has approved legislation that would require compensation packages for top executives of the state's university systems to be voted on in public. It would also mandate that all elements of compensation be fully disclosed.
