California State University administrators and faculty leaders agreed Sunday to resume talks in an effort to ink a contract within 10 days and head off a threatened faculty strike that could begin as soon as April 9.

  

California State University faculty Sunday accepted independent recommendations aimed at ending a bitter labor dispute and urged university administrators to do the same. The fact finder's report is posted here.

  

CSUEU supports CFA’s position in its struggle for a contract with the CSU. While we cannot conduct a sympathy strike, we can do the following to show our support.

  

The visit was the third stop on a "listening tour" Garamendi began in February with the goal of hitting every California State University campus over the next couple of years. The plan is to hear concerns about education from stakeholders in communities surrounding each CSU school.

  

Chancellor Reed also scolded by state senators over statements.
