This September 29 Contract Negotiations News outlines results of a September 24 meeting  with CSU management on two furloughs issues. This side letter deals with the workload complaint process for exempt employees during a non-furlough week.

CSEA General Council 2009 took place from September 4 through 7 in Los Angeles. Each day, GC Times, a daily newspaper documenting this special event, was published, edited by CSUEU VP for Representation Russell Kilday-Hicks.

The latest edition of CSUEU's University Employee has just been posted online and mailed out. It features a variety of perspectives on furlough issues.

In May, 2009, when CSUEU and CSU agreed to extend the 2007-2009 contract until June, 2011, the two parties agreed to establish a Labor Management Committee (LMC) on Long Term Compensation Strategy. This LMC held its first meeting on August 18, 2009, at the Office of the Chancellor in Long Beach.

On August 25, 2009, CSUEU met with CSU for the second time regarding the CSU’s proposed IT security policy.
