Gov. Brown Appoints New CSU Trustee
July 17 - James “Larry” Norton, 74, of San Rafael, has been appointed to the California State University Board of Trustees.
Norton was principal at Norton and Associates from 1980 to 2007. He served as vice president at the Institute for Medical Sciences at the California Pacific Medical Center from 1976 to 1980, director of development and community relations at Dominican University from 1970 to 1976 and as an intelligence analyst at the United States Central Intelligence Agency from 1963 to 1970. He is a member of the Marin County School Volunteers. Norton earned a Master of Arts degree in history from San Jose State University. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Norton is a Democrat.
