- The CSU Board of Trustees (BOT) meet next Tuesday and Wednesday; schedules and agendas are online along with a quick summary.
- The CSU Labor Council typically meets on Tuesday night of a Tuesday-Wednesday BOT meeting; there will likely be a meeting next Tuesday. No agenda mail yet.
- The next CSEA Board meeting is set for the first weekend in June.
- The March CSUEU Board draft minutes are set to be distributed on Monday.
- The Senate Rules Committee is set to confirm the Governor’s appointment of William Hauck and Henry Mendoza on June 10.
- Senate Budget Subcommittee No. 1 on Education met on May 7 to discuss budgets of the UC and CSU. Another meeting is scheduled for May 14.
- Today is the “date of record” for determining General Council delegates. The number of members your Chapter has as of today determines your delegate count – 1 delegate per 100 members of “major fraction thereof,” with a minimum of 1 delegate.
- Today is the deadline for CSEA Board member to submit items for placement on the agenda of the next CSEA Board meeting.
- The CSUEU Board of Directors is holding a special meeting in closed session by conference call to discuss and consider bargaining strategies related to the FY 2008-09 salary reopener and the full contract expiration of June 20, 2009. The call is scheduled for next Monday evening.
