Q4. "I don't need a union; my supervisor is fair. I get along fine with my supervisor. What has the union gotten for us that we wouldn't have gotten anyway?"

Q5. "My spouse would divorce me." Or, "My parents don't like unions."

Q6. "I can't afford to strike. How can I be sure I won't be out on strike? I don't believe in strikes."

Q7. "I can handle my own affairs. I can take care of myself. I'll make my own decisions. I don't intend to stay on this job forever; I'm looking for a promotion."

Q8. "My religion doesn't permit me to belong to any outside organization."

Q9. "My supervisor doesn't believe in unions. I've seen what happens to CSEA members."

Q10. "I don't want anything to do with unions. They're all corrupt."
