CSUEU Chapter 305 is announcing an election for President/General Council Delegate; Vice President; Secretary; Treasurer; and Unit Representatives for 2, 5, 7, 9 and 12; and Organizing Chair. These are three-year terms.
The nomination period is from Wednesday, January 18—February 15, 2012. Candidate must be a valid member of the electorate and submit a candidate consent form by Wednesday, February 15 at 5pm. Candidates may submit position statements of no more than 100 words. The Consent Form and Candidate position statements are due to the Election Committee by February 15 at 5pm, hand delivered to Shawn Heiser in HSS 108 or via email csueu305elections@gmail.com The Consent Form is attached at the bottom of the Special Election webpage.
Candidate position statements will be available on the Chapter’s website on February 16.
The election will be on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 10am –11:00am at the downtown campus in Suite 515 and 12noon to 3:30pm in HSS 331 on the main campus. Only CSUEU Chapter 305 members are part of the electorate. Bring your photo ID to cast your ballot. Tabulation will begin at 3:30pm; there will be a half-hour election protest period before the results are official after the tabulation is complete.
Results will be published on the Chapter’s website and communicated to the Chapter by email once the election has been validated by the VP for Member Engagement.

GENERAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS
CSUEU Chapter 305 has begun our General Council election cycle for 2012. This election is for individuals to represent CSUEU Chapter 305 at the CSEA General Council in conjunction with our Chapter President. Our chapter has been allocated 7 delegates and1 alternate for the election. The next CSEA General Council meeting will be held from Friday, August 31, 2012 to Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles.
Below is a nominations and consent form to run for these offices. All members in good standing are eligible to run for General Council Delegate or Alternate. If you are interested in running for a General Council position, please fill out the form and send it to CSUEU Headquarters or submit it to your Chapter Elections Committee to be mailed. Consent form can be hand delivered to Shawn Heiser in HSS 108 or sent via email to the Election Committee at csueu305elections@gmail.com
Ballots will be produced and mailed out by Friday, April 20, 2012.The results will be distributed to each chapter by Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
All nominations must be received no later than Friday, March 9, 2012.
The election is handled entirely by CSUEU Headquarters.
