CSU Employees Union members have overwhelmingly voted in favor of the tentative agreement for a new contract with the CSU.
The CSU votes on the agreement at its next Board of Trustees meeting this Tuesday, March 20. The agreement does not go into effect until after the trustees ratify it.
The three-year contract is retroactive to July, 2011, and extends through June, 2014. Ratification ballots were sent to all members in late February and were due to CSUEU’s Sacramento headquarters yesterday. Ballots were counted today.
“The bargaining team worked hard to reach this agreement with the CSU,” said CSUEU VP for Representation Russell Kilday-Hicks. “They couldn’t have done it without the support of members. Now we need to continue pushing for further improvements in reopeners and indeed during the life of the contract.”
