State Budget impasse threatens funding for employee compensation
In an effort to balance the state budget, various proposals are being contemplated which would cut funding to the CSU budget. This could jeopardize salary increases for all CSU employees and would undermine improved working relationships between the CSU and unions representing its employees.
On July 18, the CSU Employees joined the CSU, the California State Students Association, CFA, APC and SETC in a letter to all state legislators urging them not to make any cuts to the CSU budget.
In addition, CFA is calling upon its members to call leaders in the State Assembly and State Senate urging them not to make any cuts to the CSU budget.
We urge our members to join CFA's effort. Make those calls today. Attached are links to these important documents.
