As if it weren’t enough to pour millions of dollars into states across the country in support of measures to kill public sector collective bargaining, the super-rich Koch brothers are now apparently intent on buying up mainstream media as well, presumably to continue advancing their conservative, union-busting agenda. Their latest target? The venerable Los Angeles Times.

May 14 -- In his state budget May Revise presentation this morning, Gov. Jerry Brown continued to call for stronger CSU funding over the next four fiscal years, a plan he first unveiled in January.

March 19: In a March 18 press conference, CSU Assistant Vice Chancellor Robert Turnage outlined budget recommendations to be made to the CSU Board of Trustees at its two-day meeting starting today. Strikingly, much of the discussion dealt with a proposed $38 million compensation pool available through collective bargaining to address compensation needs for faculty and staff that have gone unaddressed for five years.
