As this San Francisco Chronicle article explains, a Legislative Analyst's Office report published on November 12 finds that the California Master Plan for Higher Education is being ignored by lawmakers who don't even pretend they can live up to its expensive commitment. Read the report. Hearings on the future of the Master Plan are tentatively scheduled at the State Capitol, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., on March 24 (accountability) and April 7 (financing).
