Chapter 305 Trusteeship

Dear Chapter 305 Members
The Hearing Panel has reported their findings and recommendation to the CSUEU Executive Committee. We have reviewed the Hearing Panel’s report and recommendation and adopt it in its entirety. Accordingly, we have appointed Lori Williams to be the Trustee. We are confident that Lori Williams will be able to assist your Chapter fill its vacancies and move forward without delay. For those of you that do not know Lori, she is a union activist from Chapter 316, San Luis Obispo. Lori is currently the Chapter 316 Vice President. She serves on the Statewide Organizing Committee and is Chair of the Committee on the Future, Her former elected positions include Statewide Vice President for Finance and Unit 2 Representative.
Lori Williams is charged to assist you to restore democratic principles and procedures in Chapter 305. (CSUEU PF 609.0 l(a)(3).) Specifically, she is directed to immediately hold an election to fill Chapter Board vacancies in accordance with the CSUEU Policy File. She is to act in the best interest of the Chapter and take all necessary interim and postelection measures to restore democracy and ensure that members are represented at both the Chapter and Statewide level. She is to report to the Board of Directors at each subsequent Board meeting the status of the trusteeship and whether or not the trusteeship should be continued or terminated. The trusteeship can only be terminated by the CSUEU Board of Directors.
