The CSU and CSUEU had extended the November 12, 2014 - June 30, 2017 Collective Bargaining Agreement through October 19, 2017. The contract expired when it was not extended. On October 25, the parties reached a tentative agreement. Effective Nov. 6, the parties have reinstated the CBA through the completion of the ratification process. The CSU have also agreed to allow grievances filed during the gap period (October 20 through November 5) to still be eligible for arbitration after ratification. This memorandum allows for employees to earn CTO for work performed starting November 6, 2017. And all grievances, regardless of when it was filed, are eligible for arbitration following the normal process, assuming the TA is ratified.
