Incorporated in 2005 after serving its members as a division of the California State Employees Association for more than 70 years, the California State University Employees Union represent staff members who support the California State University’s 23 campuses as well as the Office of the Chancellor.
Our Union represents 16,000 CSU support staff - working in six distinct bargaining units - covering the academics and operations of the CSU, including information technology, healthcare, clerical, administrative and academic support, campus operations, grounds and custodial.
After being a temp at San Diego State for many months, I was told with a solemn voice, "We are sorry but we cannot renew your contract." I was out of a job just like that. I was motivated to someday get back to SDSU, and with the help of our Chapter 318 union officers, I did. Thanks to CSUEU I am here today as your SDSU Unit 9 Representative, ready to fight for members because I know what happens when the administration’s power is allowed to go unchecked.
