Union Announcements
STEPs Status
This year, our union stood shoulder-to-shoulder with CSU leadership to advocate for full CSU funding—and we got it! (Thank you to all that contacted your state legislators and the governor!) A portion of that funding is meant to place represented employees on salary STEPs, finally providing fair, predictable pay aligned with market wage standards.
- Now, CSU leadership is saying there’s not enough money to implement the very STEPs we fought for. No recognition for our effort. No follow-through on the shared goal.
We did our part. Now they need to do theirs. So, this climate, it’s not a time to sit back. It is time for us to show up, speak out, and stand together!
What can YOU do now?
- If you’re not yet a union member — join. Every new member strengthens our voice.
- Stay engaged.
- Members: Participate by signing the petition to demand the chancellor to implement full steps now.
- Keep your eye on the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) charges filed against the CSU for attempting to re-open our contract.
- Talk with your coworkers. The more we mobilize, the more they listen.
It’s up to all of us to make sure CSU funding is used the way it was promised, because we’re not asking for favors—we’re demanding fairness.
Stay visible. Stay vocal. And most importantly—let’s stay united.
Reminder: Classification Appeals
