Union Announcements

  • No Kings Day – This Saturday, October 18, 2025 - Authoritarian policies and restrictions on rights are increasing across the country. On October 18, CSUEU and SEIU members will join a National Day of Action with rallies, marches, and speak-outs to advocate for democracy and workers’ rights.
    • FAQ
      • Q: What does this have to do with the CSU?
A: Higher education is being targeted through federal funding cuts and privacy intrusions that threaten academic freedom and job security.
      • Q: How do I know which No Kings event to attend?
A: Complete the RSVP to join with other CSUEU members form to choose a California event. A CSUEU member will contact you to coordinate—remember to wear CSUEU blue!
Another resource is the No Kings website.
  • Protect Our Voice – Vote YES on Prop 50, Nov. 4 – You should have received your California ballot on the Election Rigging Response Act (ERR Act). This measure counters efforts to redraw districts mid-decade that threaten fair representation and funding for vital services like health care, childcare, and senior care.

What’s the WIIFIM?

✔ Fairness: Counters national gerrymandering.

✔ Defense: Protects democracy from manipulation.

✔ Temporary: Returns to independent commission post-2030.

✔ Representation: Preserves Democratic seats at the federal congressional level.

✔ Accountability: Responds to partisan redistricting elsewhere in the country. California voters decide, not politicians.

Bottom line: If California doesn’t act, vital care and services will be cut.

Let’s stand together and protect our future!

  • Workers Win $144 Million for Fair Pay
    • Because we stood together, CSU leadership finally accepted a $144 million, zero-interest state loan for one-time employee compensation.  This was a direct result of CSUEU members’ pressure and persistence.
    • Our collective advocacy made this happen. With repayment covered in next year’s state budget, this win is both smart and worker-driven.
    • Next, our Bargaining Team will meet with management to decide how the money is distributed. But our job isn’t done. We must stay organized to ensure fair pay for everyone.
    • Members: Join the Contract Action Team (CAT) to help lead campus actions and keep the pressure on. Together, we win.
