Union Announcements

  • Have you VOTED?  Right now, politicians in Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, and Utah are redrawing election maps to lock in their power. If they succeed, your vote could stop mattering.
    • Voting is not about liking a party. It is about keeping power in the people's hands. Whether we like it or not, everything is political.
    • If you want a voice in how this country is run, get involved. Vote, volunteer, phone bank, donate, or talk to others about what is at stake.
    • This is not just about us. It is about those who come after us, who do not yet have a vote.

👉 Vote YES on Prop 50 – Next Tuesday, Nov. 4.

  • CSU Offer Fails Its Workers

After months of delay, CSU management has offered employees aone-time 3% lump-sum payment, likely to be distributed early next year, instead of implementing full salary Steps funded by the$144 million state loan.

CSUEU’s Position: The offer is unacceptable because the payment

  • Is taxed at a high bonus rate (around 32% in California, plus Social Security and Medicare)
  • Is not pensionable
  • Does not raise base pay and provides no lasting benefit

Current Status:
CSUEU members are mobilizing statewide to demand full Steps implementation now. The Contract Action Team (CAT) is expanding and organizing further actions. Members are encouraged to join CAT to help lead the effort.
