Reminder: January Chapter Meeting

  • We know this season is chaotic and no one needs another meeting piled on top of holiday stress. With vacations and year-end crunch in mind, we’re holding our CSUEU Winter Chapter Meeting , Wednesday, January 21 @ 12-1pm. It’s a fresh start to set our bargaining support strategy together and make sure every voice is part of the plan. Watch your inbox for the official invite when we return from break and make time to join us, so we go into 2026 standing strong as a united chapter.

CSUEU Negotiation Priorities for Step and Red Circled Employees

  • CSUEU is focused on protecting long term pay growth for every employee, including those red circled. We are prioritizing permanent salary increases over short term bonuses, fixing step stagnation, and ensuring pay keeps pace with the market and inflation. That includes fair treatment in step movement, meaningful increases that count toward retirement, and correcting misclassification issues that hold people back. We are also pushing for retroactive pay as part of broader compensation improvements.
    • Note: Misclassification appeals are still being accepted. Winning an appeal takes documentation & persistence.  If you need assistance or have questions, contact an e-board member.
    • Our bargaining team will be pushing on 2 fronts:

1)  the 2023-26 contract reopener on what was agreed apon in our current contract that hasn’t been fulfilled – no to one-time bonuses, but fully funding the contract!

2)  bargaining our next contract.  Note: the CSUEU initial proposal will be presented in the January BOT meeting.

Strong member support is essential as we formally advance these priorities in bargaining next year.  It has been a demanding year, and showing up has not always been easy. As we head into bargaining, standing together matters more than ever. Every member strengthens our voice and our ability to push back on the CSU. If you are not a member, we invite you to Join us and help move next year’s bargaining efforts forward.

✨❄️ ⛄️ We know there is important work ahead. For now, your e-board wishes you and your loved ones a restful and joyous holiday break.
