Union Announcements
- Next Week Teamsters Strike
February 17 to 20
Teamsters Local 2010 will conduct a strike at 22 campuses and the Chancellor’s Office to challenge CSU’s unfair labor practices. Respecting the picket line is a tangible way workers stand together and defend long-term working conditions.

- Opt-Out Messaging: Know the Source
You may receive emails encouraging you to leave or avoid joining CSUEU by promising quick “savings.” These messages come from the Freedom Foundation; a well-funded conservative organization whose mission is to weaken unions by convincing workers to opt out. This is marketing, not advocacy for your wellbeing.
Union dues fund the protections and benefits CSU employees rely on: healthcare, pensions, paid time off, job security, and representation when facing unfair treatment. Opting out does not eliminate the need for a union. It simply shifts the cost to your coworkers and weakens our collective bargaining power.
Strong membership leads to stronger contracts. If you want better raises, real accountability, and a say in your working conditions, staying engaged matters. Join CSUEU and help protect what we have while fighting for what comes next.
