Paycheck Update

The Collective Bargaining Agreement was fully ratified January 31, 2018, and is now in full effect. The Chancellor's Office is working with the State Controller's Office (SCO) to issue the pay and change employee pay rates.

The SCO will process the retroactive pay, which will cover July 1, 2017, through February 28, 2018. That check will be issued toward the end of March, but all indications are that it will be before the last day of March. That will be first check.

Also toward the end of March, the SCO will issue the bonus pay to employees. That will be the second check.

The March paycheck, which is issued on March 30, 2018 (or April 2 for direct deposit), will be at the new increased rate. That will be the third check.

We had hoped that the February 28 paycheck would be at the increased rate, but because the Master Payroll Certification process for SCO starts on February 12, SCO is unable to make it happen in that timeframe. Therefore, retroactive checks will cover the month of February.
