After four months of bargaining, CSUEU and CSU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) covering the CSU Interim Vaccine Policy. This policy was announced in April and will require all faculty, staff, and students to comply with the mandatory vaccine program. The CSU announced early adoption in April but not all provisions could go into effect until the two sides finished negotiations.
The MOU and Interim Policy require that all staff either vaccinate or request an exemption. There are two types of exemption – medical or religious. There are no complicated requirements for either. Both physical and psychological conditions apply and religious exemption is not subject to testing for acceptable beliefs.
