Many members may be wondering what will happen to our Good Jobs 2022 agenda with the recent resignation of the Chancellor. The answer is simple: We are working full steam ahead. The CSUEU Bargaining Team continues to meet with the CSU to negotiate our collect bargaining agreement. While we are still very early in our process, we have found that there are a number of items that both sides have identified as common interest issues. As we proceed with our “interest based bargaining,” we will continue to provide updates – so be sure you are subscribed to get the latest union news via email or text . What is interest based bargaining? Watch this fun little “doodle video.' Tell Us Your CSU Story! What will it take to win a good contract? Engaged members! We need compelling worker stories to share with legislators and CSU trustees as we elevate our Good Jobs campaign in the coming weeks. If you struggle with inadequate pay, job insecurity or a lack of career advancement, we want to hear from you: Visit www.csueu.org/MyStory and complete the 'Tell Us Your CSU Story!' webform. Get to know the Bargaining Team! This week, we profile three team members - with more to come. And don't forget: one easy way to show your support is to display a 'Good Jobs' background for your Zoom meetings. No individual effort is too small - the time is now to join together and win Good Jobs for Our Future! Interim CSU Chancellor Having an interim chancellor does not change our focus, which is the needs of our members. And we expect the CSU to continue fulfilling its commitments to students and to the collective bargaining process underway. Our Bargaining Team will bargain with the authorized CSU representatives for a fair agreement which CSUEU members will vote on. Our legislative committee continues to advocate for funding for our joint Salary Study in the state budget. Our organizing committee is recruiting newly hired CSUEU represented employees (and the not-so-newly hired as well). We will continue to reach out to the Student Assistants who work alongside our members in our bargaining units. We will work together with our labor partners to press the CSU to negotiate a Good Jobs agreement.
