We win union contracts when members come together and collectively decide what is worth fighting for. More than 4,000 CSUEU-represented employees participated in the recent contract survey to assess members’ needs and priorities. Our Bargaining Team is analyzing the survey results and reviewing employees’ feedback for guidance as we enter contract negotiations with the CSU next year. We will share highlights of the survey findings in the coming weeks so be sure to catch upcoming eNews editions. One key survey question asked members to rank issues that matter most. The results were clear and consistent across the Union’s four Bargaining Units. Whether you maintain campus grounds, process admission records, staff a student health clinic or provide IT support, the most important issue was salary increases, through both a general and a steps structure. Other priorities – also uniformly shared across job classifications - are identified in this graphic . CSUEU and CSU know the CSU’s salary structure is broken. Working with the CSU and other labor allies, we successfully advocated for a salary study , which is due to state legislators early next year. Good jobs start with good salaries but do not end there.
